Saint-Raphaël is a seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast located at the foot of the superb Estérel massif in the heart of a protected area. The Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Victoire : building built by Pierre Aublé between 1882 and 1889, representative of the Romano-Byzantine style very popular during the Belle Époque.

Today, all that remains of the old “ village quarter ” are the narrow, shady streets that make up the old town, where every day there is a flower and vegetable market where you will only find typical Provençal foodstuffs.
Further on stands the Romanesque church, listed as a historical monument, which was enlarged in the 18th century, but built in the 12th century. Its presbytery now houses the Archaeological Museum of Saint-Raphaël. The 22 m watchtower, dating from around the 14th century, offers a splendid panorama.
The “ Marine district ”, once frequented by the city's fishermen, has gradually been transformed into a seaside resort. A gaming casino, many villas and shops have been built there to create a truly attractive town centre.
